INIA
has more than 250 highly qualified researchers working at 10 different Regional Research Centers, from the IV Region in the north to the XII Region in the south. They are located in semi-arid, Mediterranean, temperate, cold and damp, and Pampa climates, with highly differentiated climatic characteristics, from parallel 29º to 56º south latitude.
These centers are all equipped with modern laboratories and well-structured experimental research areas.
INIA has widespread experience in developing agricultural and agribusiness technology, as well as a history full of achievements and contributions to the food and agricultural production system.
In a scenario dominated by the development of globalization and international economic integration, INIA focuses on playing a proactive role in generating and transferring livestock and agricultural science and technology at international levels.
With Free Trade Agreements signed with several countries, among them the United States, European Union, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Brunei, science and technology have become pillars for the country's development.
INIA is focused on developing technologies aimed for the direct use of the private sector.
For this purpose, it develops successful research programs jointly with producers, exporters and service providers.
INIA is staffed by a significant number of scientists skilled in managing new technologies, introducing innovations in the fields of vegetable and fruit cultivation, cattle-breeding and natural resources.
